Update: Cambodia International Airports Now Accept Credit/Debit Cards for Visa on Arrival Payments

Great news for travelers! From August 30, 2024, visitors to Cambodia can now use credit and debit cards to pay for their Visa on Arrival at all Cambodian International Airports. This is a significant improvement, making the visa application process much more convenient.

Cambodia has long been known for using both the USD and KHR (Riel) currencies. Previously, tourists were required to pay their visa fees in USD cash, which often caused inconvenience, especially when travelers didn’t have the exact amount in crisp, new bills.

Thanks to ACLEDA Bank Plc. and their newly launched E-Commerce – MPGS system, travelers can now apply for visas at the airport and pay using a variety of payment methods:

  • Mastercard
  • VISA
  • UnionPay
  • JCB
  • Diners Club International
  • KHQR Code scanning for digital payments

This update offers travelers a smoother experience, giving them the flexibility to pay for their Visa on Arrival with cash, credit/debit cards, or digital payment options. No more worrying about carrying exact change in USD!
